Thankful.

Today, I am thankful

• for the rain... maybe it will wash away some of this ice and snow.
• for my children's grandparents. I came home yesterday and they were outside sledding and had built a snowman. It is awesome to watch memories like that being made. My inlaws ROCK.
• for my new van and the security I have while driving.
• for my job and the ability to take my children with me when it snows.
• for my children, their health, their sense of humor, their agression (I know that is a strange one - but I know that no one will ever run over them. They know how to stand up for themselves.)
• Emma's ability to pick out her own clothes - I need to let her dress the way she wants - but this morning we had an altercation because she came downstairs in all brown. It was different shades with a stained top, capri pants, snow boots and an Old Navy sweater. I made her change and I shouldn't have done that.
• Dave. Nuff' said.
• my dad bringing me morning coffee.

Thankful.

The beginning of a new work week.
The beginning of a new semester.

I am thankful for:
1. God's faithfulness in answering prayers.
2. The ability to pray.
3. Grace and Mercy.
4. My husband and his dedication to our family.
5. My son Eli and his wit and charm.
6. My daughter Emma and her desire to do her best in everything.
7. My son Tripp and his toughness and his eyelashes.
8. My neice Mallie and her desire to color and make letters perfect.
9. The health of my children, my home, my ability to go to school.
10. Liquid Hormones and the pharmacists at Walgreens who provide me with said hormones.
11. Chocolate chip cookies and brownies that accompany liquid hormones when they fall a wee bit short of their goal.
12. Coffee from McDonalds that arrives by one messenger or another by 8:30 every morning.
13. My screaming five year old daughter. She is able to scream to that means her throat is not that sore.
14. My neice Mallie who just commented, "Her face is RED!"
15. Tripp's desire to stick his tongue out at his sister when she is screaming, and Emma's comment: "Everytime he makes me cry, he just feels good about it."

Oh, at the store the other day, Emma told me and my sister Melissa, "This store inflames me."

What a life.

Giving Thanks.

I have lots of things that I have been thankful for recently. So, I am going to share some of them.

1. I am thankful that I have a husband that likes to be involved in our children's lives. He coaches, talks to them, takes them to school, goes and has lunch with them, cuddles them, plays with them and loves them so so much. And he is cute and has a great sense of humor.
2. I am thankful for my inlaws. My mother in law is my biggest supporter. She is the first person to tell me to stop whining and the first person to offer me support when I need it. My father in law is great.. he has done many wonderful things for my family. I love them so so much.
3. I am thankful for my children, their health, the doctors that take care of them.
4. I am thankful for my friends - the ones that I know I can depend on. I have several that I know I can call for prayer requests, to talk to, or just hang out with. A couple of them are ladies in the church that are grandmas. They are like surrogate moms to me - and help me lots.
5. I am thankful for my job. In this terrible economy, many people are looking for work. I am so happy that I found a job that I can still be a mommy, and my bosses understand that my kids are number 1.
6. I am thankful for the yard that we have at the new house. I love the yard. I love the house. I am in love with the yard and the house.

Friday Night Blues.

I think I am going to start all my posts with song titles. I bet Dave can tell me who sings them all.

This song is one of my favorites. It takes me back.... to a good friend, Mad Dog, and lots of tears. But, never mind. That is a different story for another day..

Dave and I were going to be alone tonight. All night long. Ha ha! I kill myself!!!

Well, the short story is that Tripp ended up coming home from his sleepover with Lochlan, Emma stayed with Alexandra, and Eli is still at the church retreat.

Two out of three ain't bad. whoo hoo! ok, I am quitting.

I was so excited, yet I am just as excited to see my little Tripper Do.

I am thankful for my kids and I am thankful for Dave. So, so much.

I am on spring break next week. I am so thankful not to have homework. I just finished an all day mid term. It was from Satan. I literally worked on it all day. It was so hard.

Tomorrow is my dad's suprise birthday party. He has had a bad week with his blood pressure and he doesn't feel good at all. He scares me so bad sometimes. He came in the office yesterday afternoon and he was all red and pretty confused. And he was very confused this afternoon. I am also thankful to still have him here with me.

I guess this post is going nowhere.

I got to spend time with my "little" brother tonight. I am thankful for the relationship I have with him, also. And, I am thankful for his lovely wife and that sweet little boy of his.

I got an email from a lady in our congregation today. It made me cry. It was so nice. I am thankful for her.

Well, this is a thankful post, I guess.
